Forward an invitation received from outside the organization
🚧 Coming soon. This feature will let you forward to Anghello an invitation received from an external contact (for example a supplier confirming their visit). The external sender will automatically be recognized as the visitor to welcome.
Audience: Hosts, Receptionists
Application: Outlook, Google Calendar, email client
Estimated time: 1 minute (once the feature is available)
What need it addresses
You've received a calendar invitation from an external contact (for example a contractor confirming their visit, or a candidate forwarding you their appointment). Instead of recreating the visit by hand in Anghello, you'll simply be able to forward the invitation to your site's invitation address.
How it will work
1. Open the invitation you received
In your mailbox, open the invitation sent by your external contact.
2. Forward it to the Anghello invitation address
Click Forward and enter your site's invitation address (for example my-site@invit.anghello.com), then send.
3. Let Anghello do the rest
Anghello will create a pre-registration with:
- You as the host (you are an Anghello user of the site).
- The external organizer (the contact who sent you the invitation) as the visitor.
- The event's other external guests as additional visitors.
What you'll still need to know
- The usual rules apply: a maximum of 10 visitors per invitation, a 1-year horizon, etc.
- The forward must be sent from your Anghello email address, otherwise it will be rejected.
What to do in the meantime?
💡 Tip: Two options while waiting for the feature to be released:
- Create the pre-registration manually in the Admin app. See Pre-register a visit manually.
- Accept the invitation you received, then create a new event in your own calendar with the external contact as a guest and the Anghello invitation address as a recipient. See Pre-register a visit from Outlook or Google Calendar.
