Articles on: Visits pre-registration

Verification email sent to the host

Depending on your configuration, the host receives an automatic email when a visit is pre-registered for them. This email is used to confirm the visit and to spot surprise visits or data-entry mistakes.

Audience: Hosts, Receptionists
Application: Email
Reading time: 2 minutes

When is the email sent?

Depending on the Host verification option configured on the site:

  • Always — an email is sent for every pre-registration, even for recurring visitors.
  • If new — only when it's a visitor's first visit to the site. Ideal for access-controlled sites.
  • Never — no verification email is sent.

What the email contains

  • The visit information: date, time, visitor(s), practical notes.
  • A View the visit button that leads directly to the visit in Anghello.
  • A Cancel button if the visit wasn't expected (depending on your configuration).

Good to know

💡 Tip: The verification email is different from the arrival notification the host receives when the visitor actually checks in at the kiosk on the day. See Manage notifications.

💡 Tip: To stop receiving these emails for recurring visitors, switch the option to If new in the site settings.
