Manage Notifications

Notifications alert your employee hosts when a visitor arrives or leaves. This guide shows you how to configure email and SMS notifications for your site.

Audience: Administrators, Managers
Application: Admin (app.anghello.co)
Estimated time: 5 minutes

Before you start

  • You need an Administrator or Manager account on Anghello
  • At least one site must be created
  • Your employee hosts must have an email address filled in to receive notifications

Configure notifications

1. Open your site settings

In the left-hand menu, go to Settings > Sites. On your site card, click Settings & Features.

2. Open the Notifications tab

Click the Notifications card in the overview, or select the corresponding tab.

Notification options

3. Enable the notifications you want

Turn each option on or off according to your needs.

4. Save

Visit approval

When approval is enabled, the visitor's journey changes:

  1. The visitor checks in normally on the check-in kiosk
  2. The host receives an email with an Accept or Decline button
  3. The visitor sees a waiting message on their virtual badge
  4. Once approved by the host, the visitor is confirmed

Check the notifications sent

The status of each notification is visible in the visitor detail panel:

1. In the visitor list, click a visitor's row.

2. In the detail panel, look at the Notifications section.

The possible statuses are:

  • Sent — The notification was sent successfully
  • Pending — The notification is being sent
  • Failed — Sending failed (check the email address)

Good to know

💡 Tip: The notification email contains the visitor's name, their company, the arrival time, and the site name.

💡 Tip: If the emails land in your employees' spam folder, ask them to add no-reply@anghello.co to their contacts.

💡 Tip: SMS notifications are available depending on your subscription and your organization's SMS credits.
