Set up a validation quiz

The validation quiz lets you check that your visitors have properly understood the entrance instructions. After reading and accepting the instructions, visitors must answer a questionnaire correctly. This guide shows you how to create and configure your quiz.

Before you start

• You need an Administrator or Manager account on Anghello
• The "Instructions Validation" add-on must be included in your subscription
• Entrance instructions must be enabled on your site

Enable the quiz

1. Open your site settings

In the left-hand menu, go to Settings > Sites. On your site card, click Settings & Features.

2. Open the Security Quizz tab

Click the Security Quizz card in the overview, or select the corresponding tab.

3. Enable the quiz

Turn on the Enable entry instructions validation quiz option.

Configure the question selection mode

Choose how questions are presented to visitors:

• Random selection: the number you enter is the total. You enter 4 → 4 questions.
• Category selection: the number applies to each category. 3 categories × 4 questions = up to 12 questions. If a category has fewer questions than requested, the visitor only gets the ones that exist.
• Mixed selection: the number only covers the random questions added. Mandatory questions are always asked on top.

💡 Tip: for the Mixed and Category selection modes, a preview under the field shows the actual total in real time. Trust that total.

Add a question

1. Click Add a question

Click the Add a question button.

2. Choose the question type

Select the type in the window that opens.

3. Write the question

Fill in the following information:

• Label — The text of the question (translatable into several languages)
• List of answers and correct answer(s) — The answer options
• Correct answer(s) — Check the right answer(s)
• Categories (optional) — To organize your questions by topic (useful with the "Category selection" mode)
• Pictograms (optional) — Add illustrative images to the question or the answers

4. Save

Click Save. The question appears in the list.

How it works for your visitors

After accepting the instructions, the visitor answers the quiz questions:

1. Questions are displayed one at a time with a progress indicator at the top
2. The visitor selects their answer and clicks Submit my answer
3. If the answer is correct: a green message is displayed and the visitor moves on to the next question
4. If the answer is incorrect: a red message is displayed with the number of attempts left
5. After 3 incorrect attempts on a question: the correct answer is displayed and the visitor can continue
6. A Return to instructions button lets the visitor go back and read the instructions at any time

💡 Tip: The quiz does not block the visitor's check-in. After 3 attempts, the correct answer is shown and the visitor can move on. The goal is educational, not blocking.

Quiz per visitor type

If you have enabled Visitor Types, you can define specific questions for each type.

1. Click the three small dots next to the question.

2. Click Ask to.

3. Select the visitor types the question will be asked to.

Good to know

💡 Tip: Quiz answers are saved in the visitor's record. You can view them in the visitor detail panel, in the "Safety quiz answers" section.

💡 Tip: You can see the number of attempts and whether the answer was correct or not for each question.
