The quiz won't submit

A visitor is stuck on the instructions validation quiz? This guide helps you understand why, and how to unblock the situation.

How the quiz works

The validation quiz works as follows:

1. The visitor answers the questions one by one
2. They have 3 attempts per question
3. If the answer is still incorrect after 3 attempts, the correct answer is displayed and the visitor can continue
4. The quiz does not block check-in — its purpose is educational

Problems and solutions

The visitor can't continue after a wrong answer

Solution: The visitor still has attempts left. They need to click Retry to try another answer. After 3 attempts, the correct answer is displayed automatically with a Next Question button.

The quiz doesn't appear at all

Check that:

1. The Security Induction module is included in your subscription
2. The quiz is enabled in Settings > Sites > Settings & Features > Security Quizz
3. The entrance instructions are also enabled (the quiz only appears after the instructions have been accepted)
4. At least one question is configured

The questions don't appear in the expected order

If you use the Random selection or Category selection mode, questions are drawn at random. This is normal behavior. Use the Current selection mode if you want a set order.

The visitor wants to review the instructions during the quiz

The visitor can click the Return to instructions button available during the quiz. This takes them back to the entrance instructions, then they restart the quiz from the beginning.

💡 Tip: Quiz answers are saved in the visitor's record. You can see whether each answer was correct or not, and the number of attempts.

💡 Tip: The quiz is deliberately designed not to block check-in. If a visitor fails 3 times, they see the correct answer and can continue.
