Text messages (SMS) are not being sent
SMS notifications aren't being sent to your employee hosts or during evacuations? This guide helps you diagnose the problem.

Check step by step
1. Do you have SMS credits available?
Sending SMS messages uses credits. If your balance is exhausted, SMS messages won't be sent.
Check: Contact our team to find out your SMS credit balance and buy more if needed.
2. Are SMS notifications enabled?
Go to Settings > Sites > Settings & Features > Notifications.
Check that SMS notifications are enabled for your site.
3. Is the phone number correct?
Check that the employee host's phone number is:
- Filled in on their employee record
- Correctly formatted with the country code (for example +33 for France)
- Valid and in service
4. Is the number a mobile number?
SMS messages can only be sent to mobile phone numbers. Landline numbers can't receive SMS messages.
Quick fixes
Cause | Solution |
|---|---|
No SMS credits left | Contact our team to top up |
SMS disabled | Enable them in the site settings |
Missing number | Add the number to the employee record |
Wrong format | Check the country code (+33, +32, etc.) |
Landline number | Replace it with a mobile number |
Good to know
💡 Tip: Email notifications work independently from SMS. If SMS is unavailable, emails keep being sent as normal.
💡 Tip: Evacuation SMS messages also use SMS credits. Keep a sufficient balance for emergencies.
