A visit does not end automatically

Auto-close should close visits at the end of the day, but some visits stay open? This guide helps you diagnose the problem.

Audience: Administrators, Managers
Application: Admin (app.anghello.co)
Estimated time: 3 minutes

Check step by step

1. Is auto-close enabled?

Go to Settings > Sites > Settings & Features > Automation.

Check that auto-close is enabled and that a time is set.

2. Is the time configured correctly?

The closing time uses your local time zone. Check that the configured time is later than the time your premises close.

For example: if your premises close at 7 pm, set the auto-close time to 8:00 pm to leave a margin.

3. Was the visit created after the closing time?

Auto-close only closes visits that are open at the time it runs. If a visitor checks in after the closing time (for example at 9 pm when auto-close is set to 8 pm), their visit will only be closed the next day at 8 pm.

4. Was the feature enabled recently?

If you've just enabled auto-close, it will take effect at the next occurrence of the set time.

In the meantime, you can always close a visit manually:

1. In the visitor list, find the open visit.

2. Click Mark as out.

Good to know

💡 Tip: We recommend setting the closing time at least 1 hour after your premises close to cover late departures.
