Manage Welcome Languages

Anghello lets your visitors choose their language on the check-in kiosk. All the interface texts, instructions, and custom fields adapt automatically. This guide shows you how to add and organize your site's languages.

Audience: Administrators, Managers
Application: Admin (app.anghello.co)
Estimated time: 3 minutes

Before you start

  • You need an Administrator or Manager account on Anghello
  • At least one site must be created

Configure the languages

1. Open your site settings

In the left-hand menu, go to Settings > Sites. On your site card, click Settings & Features.

2. Open the Languages Management tab

Click the Languages Management card in the overview, or open the corresponding tab.

3. Add languages

The available languages are displayed in a selection area. Click to add the languages you want, and drag and drop them to arrange them in the order you want.

4. Organize the order

The order of the languages determines:

  • The default language (the first one in the list)
  • The display order in the language selector on the check-in kiosk

5. Save

Click Save.

How it works for your visitors

On the check-in kiosk, a language selector appears:

  • 4 languages or fewer — All the languages are displayed as clickable flags
  • 5 languages or more — The first 3 languages are displayed; the others are available via a dropdown menu (globe icon)

The visitor clicks the flag of their language. All the interface texts adapt: form, instructions, quiz, custom fields.

Good to know

💡 Tip: If you add a language, remember to translate your entrance instructions and the labels of your custom fields into that language. Otherwise, the default texts will be displayed.

💡 Tip: The check-in kiosk interface (buttons, system messages) is translated automatically. Only the content you write (instructions, field labels) requires manual or automatic translation.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Solution

The language selector doesn't appear on the kiosk

Check that at least two languages are configured. With a single language, the selector is not displayed.

The instructions are not translated

Go to the entrance instructions settings and add a translation for each active language.

The custom fields still appear in French

Edit each custom field and add a translated label for each active language.
