Editing or cancelling a visit
This guide shows you how to edit the details of an ongoing or past visit, and how to cancel a pre-registered visit.
Audience: Administrators, Managers (if authorized), Receptionists (if authorized)
Application: Admin (app.anghello.co)
Estimated time: 3 minutes
Before you start
- Edit rights must be enabled for your role (see "Configuring visitor edit rights")
- Administrators always have the right to edit visits
Editing a visit
1. Open the visitor record
In the visitor list, click the row of the visitor you want to edit. The detail panel opens on the right.
2. Click Edit
Click the Edit icon (pencil icon) in the detail panel.

3. Change the details
You can edit:
- The check-in custom fields
- The internal fields (reserved for your team)
4. Save
Click Save. The change is tracked: the name of the person who made it and the date are recorded in the record.
Cancelling a pre-registered visit
1. In the left-hand menu, click Pre-registration.
2. Find the visit you want to cancel in the list.
3. Click the three dots at the end of the visit's row, then Cancel visit.
4. Confirm the cancellation.
Anonymizing a visit
To erase a visitor's personal data (GDPR compliance):
1. Open the visitor record.
2. Check that the visitor has checked out (a check-out time is shown).
3. Click the Anonymize icon.

4. Confirm. The personal data is erased irreversibly.
Good to know
💡 Tip: Every change is tracked in the visitor record. You can see who edited the record and when.
💡 Tip: If edit rights aren't enabled for your role, you can view records but not edit them. Ask an administrator to enable them.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
The Edit button doesn't appear | Check that edit rights are enabled for your role in Settings > Sites > Features > Edit rights. |
I can't anonymize a visitor | The visitor must have checked out (have a check-out time) before they can be anonymized. |
