Configure redirection between spots

When a visitor scans a multi-site entry's QR code, they are redirected to the right site. This guide explains how this redirection works and how to configure it.

Audience: Administrators
Application: Admin (app.anghello.co)
Estimated time: 5 minutes

Before you start

  • You need an Administrator account on Anghello
  • A multi-site entry must already be created

How redirection works

When a visitor scans a multi-site entry's QR code, they see two selection options:

"Site" mode

The visitor chooses the site they are visiting:

  • 1 or 2 sites: the sites are displayed as clickable buttons
  • 3 sites or more: a searchable drop-down menu is shown

After selecting their site, the visitor is redirected to that site's check-in form.

"Person" mode

The visitor searches for the person they are coming to meet. The system automatically identifies that person's site and redirects the visitor to the right check-in form, with the host pre-selected.

Ongoing visit

If a visitor who already has an ongoing visit on one of the sites in the group scans the entry's QR code again, they are automatically redirected to the check-out flow of their active site.

Edit the sites in an entry

1. In Settings > Multi-site entries, click Entry Configuration on the entry you want to modify.

2. Add or remove sites from the list.

3. Save.

Good to know

💡 Tip: The Person mode is especially useful when visitors don't know the name of the site (department, unit) but know the name of the person they're meeting.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Solution

The visitor is not redirected to the right site

Check that the employee host is attached to the right site in the employee hosts list.

A site has disappeared from the selection list

Check that the site hasn't been deleted and is still included in the multi-site entry.

The visitor is redirected to check-out even though they have no ongoing visit

The visitor's browser may hold a previous session. Ask them to refresh the page.
