Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install an app?

Anghello is a progressive web app (PWA). No app store download is needed. Once signed in, open the user menu and click Install to add it to your home screen.

What if there's no network at the assembly point?

In most cases there is network coverage (4G/WiFi) at the assembly point. If your phone is out of battery or has no signal, several people on your team can access Anghello from their own devices, on different carriers. Favor 4G/5G as the primary network (independent from the site's infrastructure) and make sure responders are spread across several carriers. Test network coverage from each assembly point ahead of time.

How can I check that the service is up?

You can check the real-time service status at status.anghello.com.

What happens if an admin or manager scans the Emergency Evacuation QR code?

They keep their existing session and are redirected to the dashboard with their usual rights. They are not switched to the restricted Evacuation account.

What about staff from external companies?

As soon as an external worker is registered in Anghello (visitor check-in or pre-registration), they appear in the evacuation list. Anghello also lets you publish your evacuation instructions through the digital welcome booklet, acknowledged by the visitor at check-in.

How do I share the list with emergency services?

  1. From the evacuation page, click the share icon (or the Copy link button)
  2. Send the link by SMS or email to the incident commander
  3. They can view the list from their own phone, in real time, without creating an account

The link works for as long as the evacuation is in progress, and stops working as soon as it's closed.

An evacuation was triggered by mistake — what now?

Close it immediately with the End button. For secondary contacts who were already notified, the link stops working as soon as the evacuation is closed.

How do I handle a compromised QR code?

From the user list, open the Evacuation member's menu, then View/Manage QR code > Regenerate. The old QR code stops working immediately. Print and deploy the new poster.

What if nobody knows how it works on the day?

The interface is designed to be used without prior training: a single button to trigger, and a checklist to run the roll call. A quick run-through during a drill remains the best way to remove any last hesitation.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Solution

The QR code no longer works

The account may have been regenerated or deleted. Go to Users > member menu > View/Manage QR code to check.

Notifications aren't received

Check the configuration in Sites > Settings > Evacuations. Make sure Anghello emails aren't caught by your spam filter.

A visitor doesn't appear in the list

The visitor probably wasn't registered in Anghello when the evacuation was triggered. Only visitors with an active check-in appear in the list.

Roll call doesn't sync

Check each device's network connection. Refresh the page.

An Evacuation member no longer receives alerts

Check that their account is still active and that email notifications are enabled in the site settings.

The QR code seems compromised

Regenerate it immediately from Users > member menu > Regenerate. The old QR code is invalidated instantly.
