Using API keys
API keys let you access your Anghello organization's data from your own applications or scripts. This guide shows you how to create and manage your API keys.
Audience: Administrators
Application: Admin (app.anghello.co)
Estimated time: 5 minutes
Before you start
- You need an Administrator account on Anghello
- The "API & Webhooks" add-on must be included in your subscription
Creating an API key
1. Open the API Keys page
In the left-hand menu, click the box showing your first name at the very bottom, then click API Keys.

2. Create a key
Click the Generate API Key button. A window asks you to name your key (for example "CRM integration" or "Export script").
3. Copy the key
Your API key is generated and displayed. It has the format ak_xxxxxxxxxxxx.
Managing your keys
The key list shows:
Column | Description |
|---|---|
Name | The name you gave the key |
Value | The masked key (click the eye icon to reveal it temporarily) |
Created | The creation date |
Actions | Copy the key or revoke it |
Revoking a key
If a key is compromised or no longer used:
1. Click Revoke to the right of the key concerned.
2. Confirm the revocation.
Good to know
💡 Tip: Use explicit names for your keys ("Salesforce integration", "Weekly report") so you can easily tell which service uses which key.
💡 Tip: Create one key per application or service. If a key is compromised, you can revoke it without affecting your other integrations.
Troubleshooting

My key no longer works | Check that it hasn't been revoked. Create a new key if needed. |
