# Editing your profile and preferences


Your profile holds your personal information and your sign-in preferences. This guide shows you how to view and edit them.

**Audience:** All users
**Application:** Admin (app.anghello.co)
**Estimated time:** 3 minutes

## Opening your profile

**1.** Click the box showing your **first name** at the bottom of the side menu.

**2.** Click `Profile`.

## Editing your information

You can edit the following information:

| Field        | Description                              |
| ------------ | ---------------------------------------- |
| `First name` | Your first name as shown in the app      |
| `Last name`  | Your last name                           |
| `Avatar`     | Your profile picture                     |

Once you've made your changes, click `Save`.

## Changing your password

If you sign in with an email address and password:

**1.** From your profile, click `Change password`.

**2.** Enter your current password, then your new password.

**3.** Confirm.

> 💡 **Tip:** If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, you have no Anghello password to manage. Your password is handled directly by your identity provider.

## Signing out

**1.** Click your avatar at the bottom of the side menu.

**2.** Click `Sign out`.

## Good to know

> 💡 **Tip:** Your role and access rights are shown on your profile, but only an Administrator can change them.

> 💡 **Tip:** If you were invited with several authentication methods (password + Google, for example), you can use either one to sign in.

## Troubleshooting

| Problem                          | Solution                                                                                                                                                       |
| -------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| I can't change my password       | This option is only available if you sign in with an email address and password. If you use Google or Microsoft, your password is managed by those services.    |
| My avatar doesn't update         | Refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R on PC, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac).                                                                                                     |
