# Configure visitors' editing permissions

By default, only administrators can edit visitor records. You can extend this right to the managers and receptionists of your sites. This guide shows you how to configure these rights.

**Audience:** Administrators
**Application:** Admin (app.anghello.co)
**Estimated time:** 2 minutes

## Before you start

* You need an **Administrator account** on Anghello
* Only administrators can change these settings

## Configure the rights

**1. Open your site settings**

In the left-hand menu, go to `Settings` > `Sites`. On your site card, click `Settings & Features`.

**2. Open the Rights Management tab**

Click the `Rights Management` card in the overview.

**3. Choose the authorized roles**

| Option | Description |
| ---- |
| `Managers can edit visitors` | If enabled, the site's managers can edit custom fields and visitor data |
| `Receptionists can edit visitors` | If enabled, the site's receptionists can also edit visitor data |

**4. Save**

Click `Save`.

## What data can be edited?

Authorized users can edit:
* The visitor's **check-in custom fields**
* The **internal fields** (visible only in the Admin interface)
* The basic visit information

## Good to know

> 💡 **Tip:** Even without edit rights, managers and receptionists can still **view** visitor records.

|| **Important:** Every change to a visitor record is tracked: the name of the person who made the change and the date are recorded and visible in the detail panel.

## Troubleshooting

| Problem | Solution |
| ---- |
| A manager can't edit a visitor | Check that the `Managers can edit visitors` option is enabled for the site concerned. |
| The options are grayed out | Only administrators can change these settings. Check your role. |
